ATV Rollover Danger

Last Sunday evening, I saw a lovely couple driving an ATV vehicle around my neighbourhood. The husband was driving at slow speed and they were slowly enjoying the scenery.

However, as they were turning around one of the corners, the vehicle rolled over. Fortunately, the husband was driving the ATV at slow speed. Therefore, the couple did not suffer much injury but some shock. I supposed they did not dare to drive the ATV around again. The ATV vehicle was a Yamaha Rhino.

Recently, Yamaha has been receiving lawsuits from the consumers due to the Yamaha Rhino Rollover incidents caused by the ATV vehicles. Thus, Yamaha has been recalling more of its Rhino Side by Side (SxS) ATV vehicles.

The common injuries include broken legs (tibia), broken arms, and devastating head and spinal cord injuries. The Rhino's propensity to roll over has been blamed on its high center of gravity and narrow wheel base. Most of the Yamaha Rhinos do not come with doors on the passenger compartment. Therefore, when the Rhino rolls the passengers tend to stick their leg out intending to balance the vehicle. Normally, the passengers are unable to balance the vehicle with their legs thus causing their legs to be crushed by the rollover vehicle.

Hence, please be careful if you own a Yamaha Rhino Rollover.

Another weekend in singapore

A lot of people said singapore is a small island, and i am not going to agree or disagree on that. but then, it apparently requires more than one weekend to finish visiting the whole island. :)

so, i went to singapore again for the weekend. :) and this time, i have different "discoveries". :P

this is the lunch i took, at the Ishi Mura, in one of the shopping malls near the Yishun MRT station. hhaa..this costed around 5 sing dollars.

this is my friend's. cheese baked rice. sth like that. around 10 sing dollars.
after the lunch and some shopping, we went to the Vivo City and we found out this special shop.

look like stone eh?

some decorations, or souvenirs for sale.:) background is the photos gallery.

some special decorations made of shells.

plenty of candles, and intense aroma.

:) the middle part is the candle of flower shape.

some treasure box!

but inside all candles. haha...

decorated with antiques. mostly chinese antiques.

the milestone of the shop.

and they got plenty of fans too!so many notes posted there!

there's even a section where u can sit down and watch some documentaries produced by the company.

the items placed at the entrance for decoration.

and the super huge bone structure...and, if u look close enough into the pic, u can find some1 very special. **hint:observe the reflection of the glass.hehe..

yea, so this is the entrance of the shop. National Geographic! awesome? :P

after some window shopping, we went up to the top level of the Vivo City and we found this! so nice...

some random pic, caught some kids playing with water.

ohya, Ong's new best friend. he dun let me post up his pics with his "best friend".

after lingering so long in foreign land, we miss home a lot. so we went back to JB for dinner. this is the stall we visited. :) the "kuo tiao zhai" very delicious, although not so fancy looking. hehe..

one of the side dishes.wantan soup.

then i took a pic of the custom into singapore, nearby the place we ate. hehe..

then, Ong's friends were so generous that they gave ong some donuts and he was kind enough to share some with me, thus the pictures. :P

~The End~
**stay tuned for more picture on singapore trips. hehe...thanks to Ong for willing to drive me around. :P

Random Shots in the room

last night, as we didn't go out for any outings, so i decided to take some pictures in the room ( since too free already)

so, i searched around Ong's room, and found some "interesting" items as subjects. not bad though the outcome. hehe...

erm...

salt...-.-"

>.<...air freshener with dusts on top. it's time to clean up the room. haha...

well, quite nice the pics, quite sharp. erm....and i think it's a bit mentally torturing to be my roommate considering i would snap pics of anything. :P

Vacation to Hawaii?

Hawaii is always the place that appears in the conversations among my friends and me when we talk about vacation and holidays. The destination is always the best choice and it has been a place that all of us wish to go.

The place is so nice that I even thought of going there for wedding and honeymoon in the future. But, Hawaii is a famous tourism destination and it is flooded with a lot of hotels and resorts. Thus I am having problems in choosing the best one.

However, when I found out about Maui Resort , I know I have found what I have been looking for.

Picture_2

The resort offers a lot of wonderful facilities and activities. Besides the comfortable and luxurious accommodation, I am deeply attracted by the activities and amenities offered. From the top 10 activities recommended by the resort, I definitely want to try out the Helicopter Ride, Snorkeling and Land Excursions, Hiking Trips, Sailing Trips, Whale watching, historic places visit and also the thrill seeker option. Being a part time photographer, all these activities definitely will help in snapping plenty of nice pictures. Even by thinking of the breath-taking sceneries landscapes and whales that I am going to witness, I am already so thrilled.

Besides a normal vacation, Maui Resort is also a great place for memorable wedding of all couples. I am sure getting married there is going to be the memory of my lifetime! Please check out Maui Weddings for more information, you will be impressed by the services provided!

So, please click on the website and check out for more information today!

one of the choices to make

hmm...it's going to be my final year soon, and i am required to choose a major. the university offers 5 majors-Petroleum, Energy, Materials, Automotive and Manufacturing.

Among the five, Automotive is definitely out as i am not into cars that much even though i am going to be a mechanical engineer soon. well, mechanical is not just only about cars right? engineers out there, agree with me? if u dun agree also nvm...hehe....

and i don't think i am going to take Petroleum as my major as there are just too much things about oil and gas industry to be covered in three subjects within a year. perhaps a master in the future will serve the purpose.

so now left with Energy, Materials and Manufacturing. For Energy, the alternative energy and the energy conversion and management seem interesting but the Refrigeration and air conditioning kind of intimidates me. Well, for july 05 batch, we all know how “awesome” our heat transfer and thermodynamics had turned out to be, am i right? If wrong also nvm…hehe… Therefore, most likely I will “abandon” Energy and go for other two.

As for Materials, I am not so into advanced engineering materials but then the corrosion engineering as well as the failure analysis interests me. Well, not only the subjects are interesting but I think nowadays the industry requires a lot of failure analysts and corrosion engineers, especially the industry that deals with seawater and also chemicals **hint hint**. :P So, it seems this will be a very good go.

But then, Manufacturing interests me greatly as well. During my (well, ongoing) internship, I have been dealing with a lot of components designs (parts, pipes, nuts, bolts and etc), structural and welding inspection. And all these, we mainly learn about them in our manufacturing subjects. Besides, the subject Automation and Robotics has really captured my attention as I have been quite interested in robotics ever since secondary school (see, mechanical is not just about automotive..hehe).

So, I am having little bit of dilemma here. Hehe…but then it’s not so big deal. I will figure out soon, just need to wait for God’s hints and guidance. Hehe….God will provide and show the way.

Anyway, above are just some of my thoughts and perspectives, everyone is welcome to give some opinions, some constructive ones ya…the choices are very subjective thus there are no right and wrong answers. Have a great day and looking forward to feedback from you all.

Singapore Trip-Day 2

Due to massive exploration and walking the night before, the next day we woke up at arond 12 pm. hehe...well, it was so nice to sleep. then, we went and hunt for some food.

we went to Woodlands foodcourt cause it's the nearest. if we were to travel further we might be starved to death. hehe...

some roasted chicken noodle.

the fried chicken noodle.

the place we ate at.

that was for the afternoon brunch. for the dinner, we went to this special place called Sakura International Buffet restaurant. they got very nice scenery and food as well!

then end of the park is a polytechnic college.

some raw food.

just some warming up for 4 people.

some of the dessert. yam yam...prefer the cheese cake at the back though, the rest not so suitable for me. hehe..

salmon...fresh one.very fresh.

prawns, few plates of these..

after eating for a while, we went out for a walk to rest then come back eat again. hehe...so i walked to the park to snap some pics.
