Anyway...here are some pictures of the night.

the theme for the night is "Sports theme". so everyone is wearing sports attire for basket ball, volleyball, golf, jogging and so on....the church was turned into a sports complex in a way. hahaha...

the group pic for the night! everyone is excited, and a bit over excited just like what you can see from the guys in the front row. :) I dunno why though, i thought farewell night supposed to be sad and sentimental? hahaha.....

yea, going to miss you all soon. take care alright? all the best and God bless.

p/s: will upload more pictures soon, still editing, this week is going to be a super duber crazy week. will upload once done. stay tuned! :D

Gold investment, anyone?

My unit trust agent once told me, " if you have enough money, you can always try to invest in gold, buying the gold coins or gold bullions depends on how much money you have."

According to him, investors generally buy gold as a hedge against any economic, or currency-based crises. These crises include investment market declines, currency failure and even inflation. I guess the wisdom left by our Chinese ancestors should be considered as they always keep their asset in buying gold and pass on to generations.

As the market is fluctuating recently, a lot of people has opted for gold investment. It doesn't mean gold price will always stable, it is driven by supply and demand too.

However, including Gold in a portfolio of stocks, bonds and cash can substantially help offset market fluctuations and reduce the volatility of one’s own portfolio. So, be it gold coin or gold bullion, one can consider gold investment as a method diversification in one's portfolio. I am still on the way saving for the investment, hopefully I will join the crowd one day soon! How about you?

Some joke

haha...i find this a bit sarcastic but truthful. I guess that's what we always do when comes to offering huh? :)

Dollar Bills

Top Christian Jokes

There was two old dollar bills. One was a $100 dollar bill and the other was a $1 dollar bill. The $100 dollar bill said, "I've lived a good life. I've been to the amusement park, the theater, the zoo and baseball games."

"Wow," said the $1 dollar bill. "You sure have had a good life."

"Where have you been?" asked the $100 dollar bill.

"Oh, I've been to a Baptist church, a Methodist church, a Lutheran church and an Episcopal church."

The $100 bill said, "What's a church?"

Talk too much...unstoppable.

One of the juniors told me today,

" last time when I just came in to the university, you were quite quiet. But after a while, you started talking. then now, you become unstoppable." =.="

hmmm....is it a good thing? :)

Then there was another friend told me,

"you have changed! have we lost you? you started to joke like mad!"

well, i suppose that's something good?

hmm...i guess i fell in love in making people laugh? haha....or maybe just addicted to imitating funny people. hehe....it's good to see people laugh though, huhu....though it might mean certain degrees of changes in me. hehe....that's alright i suppose? being too serious is not good. :D

Bath Robe for women

Christmas is around the corner and I am thinking of what to give to my family members. I have got presents in mind for my brother, but I have got no idea for my mother and my sister. Well, I suppose I am not good at getting presents for girls.

Normally when I give presents to people, I will always get something that is useful for the person. This time, it’s the same as well. I wish to give something useful to my mother and sister. But then, I am not a person that would go for shopping and looking for things to buy. So, normally I will opt for shopping online.

As I was browsing through some of the online shopping websites, I came across this website where they sell a lot of bath robes especially for women. That gave me an idea and I actually am thinking of getting bath wrap for sister. As I like the present to be unique for everyone, I am still deciding between terry bath robe and waffle bath robe for my mother, any suggestions?

Kledang Hiking

I have a confession to make.

I have been here in UTP for 4 years and nearly half now, but today is my first time hiking/walking/climbing up the Kledang Hill.

We woke up ( I didn't sleep...LOL) early in the morning, and departed around 5 am from UTP just to climb the hill and see the sun rise! that's the youth spirit huh? (In fact we saw a lot of elderly climbing up and down the hill early than we do. hmmm.....)

It was nice, and really enjoyable. the fellowship is great. :) Thank God for the people and the wonderful nature He has blessed us. Magnificient and awesome!

first light.

the climb is tough, but the view is nice!

i like this one. :D

of course, don't forget the group pic!

freedom?

yea, freedom.

As usual, one of the COP tronoh traditions, taking pics whenever and wherever we can! of course, posing as well.

the two seekers. what are they looking for actually?

after playing/posing/photo-ing/jumping/whatever-ing, we started our journey back down to the hill to....where else? makan lo....another COP Tronoh's tradition. :)

Due to laziness, the food part will be blogged afterwards. Try to guess where we went for breakfast? :D

Bringing kids around this coming holiday?

It's always a pleasure and joy to have kids around. They are just so cute and every movement or expression will make your day, especially the parents.

However, it's good to have kids back at home, but it has been always a headache to most parents when comes to bringing the little children around. Either for travelling or just go for outdoors, a lot of preparation that needs to be done, including toiletries, medicine for sick and health, nappies, extra clothes, special car seats for babies and even entertainment!

It sounds like a lot of things? If you are the new parents and you are considering to bring your newly born kids for outdoor activities or travelling, I would recommend you to read these articles about the guides to buying the necessary things, especially the baby carriers, the nappies, nappy bags and so on.

The websites also recommend you to buy the suitable products for your babies and yourselves. So, why don't check it out today? You will be amazed by the information and choices of purchase provided! All the best!

Deepwater South East Asia Congress 2009

I just came back from the congress today (Friday). The congress took place for the past few days and as a student, I got to attend the congress for free. hehe....It was held in ParkRoyal Hotel, KL. So, 5 stars hotel, 5 stars venue, and 5 stars food as well. Big thanks to the organizer, Neoventure Corporation for giving me the free pass to join the congress. :)

The venue where the 2-day congress took place.

it was quite a serious and formal occasion, so taking out my camera made me feel quite awkward and embarassed, so just took out a while and snap and quickly put back. hehe...try not to draw too much attention. The pic above is a speaker from Conoco Philips presenting on world deepest TLP(Tension Leg Platform), "Magnolia" project.

Piles of papers, plenty of overwhelming information.

hehe...took a pic while taking a break. :P

Overall, the congress was very fruitful, considering the amount of information obtained. Generally the congress mainly about the latest deepwater technology being developed and used nowadays as the Oil & Gas is now moving towards Deepwater development, especially in Malaysia, one of the frontiers in deepwater market.
The speakers from different countries, companies presented on floating platforms, FLNG development, cementing, AUV usage, pipelines, energy and even corporate lawa issues. During the congress, the thing i thank God was the 8 month internship that I had with MISC Offshore Business Unit as I really learned a lot from there and thanks to the 8 months of training, i was able to understand and absorb what the speakers were talking about. Besides, the intereaction sessions with the industry people were very interesting and beneficial as well. Get to know some people, and understand the demand of the market for freshgraduates, working lifestyles and so on. :D
Thank God for the chance to participate in the event, prayerfully in the future there will be more chances to join this kind of congresses or conferences in order to update and equip myself as well. :D

Next Holiday- Christmas!

It is October now, and the next holiday will be Christmas already. Christmas has always been the occasion that I look forward to. While remembering the birth of the saviour to this world, it's an occasion that brings forgiveness and joy to the people. It's a season of good news!

Besides, during Christmas I always look forward to receiving as well as giving out presents to my beloved ones. But then, as we grow up, it’s getting harder to surprise our loved ones with special gifts to show our appreciation towards them.

However, thanks to this website, I think this year I am going to give my friends and family these special hand painted Christmas ornaments!

Have you found the presents you going to give for this year’s Christmas?

After Mooncake festival

Even though the Mooncake Festival has passed quite long ago, but then my roommate and I still miss the festival and we continued to enjoy our mooncake while drinking some green tea.

Seriously, mooncake with green tea are the best combo. please try if you got the chance, next year perhaps? hehe...

the best combo.

besides, also want to introduce you all(especially the cookies lovers) the Tesco cookies again ( i think Tesco should pay me for advertising for them? hehe...just joking.). It's the butter cookies and it's very cheap but the taste just like the branded one! very nice. if you got the chance, do grab one and try!

Double standard

Sometimes just wonder, why there is the existence of double standards? Either in university, policies, family and even friends, there are always double or triple or multiple standards apply.

Maybe i do that as well, I don't know and might not realise it. But why ler? because everyone is special and need special treatment? Hmm...maybe.... :D

Don't worry, just some ranting. :)

Female, Male and Family

During one of the concerts in one of the universities in Malaysia, there's this special rule that guys and girls must be separated as shown in the pictures below.

As you can see, there are special sections for Male and Female, as well as Family. :) So there's this one saying, if the girl friend and boy friend want to sit together, just tell the personnel you are married then you can sit in the Family section. :)
What do you think of this?
