Robotics

Somehow, besides photography and graphics, my another interest is in robotics. Some people ask, why your interest like so contradict one? well, i dunno also, i am just interested in them. :)

just in case some of you might not know, I am still studying, currently doing my final year in the university. and i'm actually majoring in the course that deals with robotics and automation.

and...recently i am doing some assignment on robotics. we were required to draw something like this:

It's a workspace assignment. The lecturer didn't say must use hand or use computer, but then anyhow also we have no idea how to draw it. I suppose it involved some calculations, but unsure.

So, I was wondering...anyone here know how to do it? :) your help is very much appreciated. :D

Haha ... have been hanging around with those stuffs last year, but never thought of draw them properly ... i happen to draw them manually to explain some specifications such as working volume, swept area, and reach.

You can have a look into ABB website, ABB is a world leading engineering company especially in robotics and automation. They deveoped a robotics simulation software to visualize the performance of the robotic arm/arms in a defined platform. Literally, your purpose of explain robotics arm can be done using the simulation software.

I never used it before, but i have seem some presentations from my classmates using the simulation software, working pretty well.

Try to download the software via the link, hopefully it helps, else just keep it as your extra engineering tools. haha ...

RobotStudio 5.12.01 : 1 GB

I can access to this software in my uni's lab, so dunno the link is working or providing correct file or not.
