Interested in being a hacker?

Since I was young, I always admired those hackers in the movies; they always looked so cool and so skilful in attacking and defending in the virtual world. By seeing all the numbers and alphabets blink in quick speed, I always wished to be one of those real life hackers. However, a lot of my friends had the wrong perception that hackers were the bad guys.

Actually, there are ethical hackers in this world that play important roles in IT Security. An ethical hacker is an IT expert who “attacks” a security system in order to look for backdoors or loopholes that a ruthless hacker may exploit. The reason of doing this is to help the organization to take pre-emptive measures against malicious attacks by attacking the system himself; all the while staying within legal limits. By knowing the vulnerabilities, the ethical hackers can know how to develop the stronger defence system to protect the organisation.

Therefore, it is not easy to be an ethical hacker. He or she has to spend long hours not just to know the openings of the security system but also to develop the security system that can defend against other unethical hackers.

A job as a Certified Ethical Hacker in an IT security is always in high demand despite the economy slowdown because he or she has to have the ability to stay ahead of the malicious hackers. Due to the heavy commitment and responsibility, an ethical hacker commands a high salary.

For those who are interested to take up this career, he or she can get a proper certificate from EC-Council iClass training. In fact, there are a number of training modalities offered for iClass events that includes categories like Security Fundamentals, Ethical Hacking , Penetration Testing, Computer Forensics
, Disaster Recovery and Secure Programming. Besides iClass, there is also iWeek that offers instructor-led online training 5 days a week for 8 hours a day while the flexClass offers classes segmented into 4 hour blocks twice per week.
