UGG boots

Recently, I have been looking out for shoes or footwear to buy as my current pair of shoes is wearing out. Normally I will go for hiking type of shoes or just normal sport shoes as I am just wearing them for class or for outings with friends. I am not a person that will look into fashion or style because I am a student and I still can go after fashion or style after my graduation, which is half a year from now!

However, as I was chatting with some friends the other day, somehow they convinced me to start looking into fashion and making me look better. Out of the blue, they suggested ugg boots! At first, I was curious what did they mean by ugg as I have never heard of the term before. But after some explanation from them, I started to understand what they meant. Surprisingly, I started to consider their consideration as I find the boots quite presentable and elegant as well!

So I went online and did some shopping. To my surprise, I found out about the ugg boots sale by UGG Mall Australia with 50%-70% off! That’s quite a good deal and they offer very good and eye-capturing boots design. I think will go for Genuine UGG Classis Cardy Boots in Oatmeal! How about you then?

Parents and Children

Today while I was on the way back from the church, my friends and I were discussing about our parents and our friends' parents. The whole topic just started with one of my friends was trying to search for someone's blog.

Apparently, he didn't manage to find the blog, or to say the blog was no longer in operation. but surprisingly, he found the friend's father's blog! then we started the topic discussing about how advanced our parents have become.

we came to realize our some of our friends' parents own blogs (very active that type, either father or mother), facebook (one of the parents has two accounts! just to play Mafia wars), and twitter!

and we came to one finding, that is normally these "advanced" parents are "complained" by their children to be "more updated" than the chidren themselves! imagine that, children can't keep up with their parents! :D

haha....so, our final statement was :" sigh...Parents nowadays!" hehe....i hope my mom don't get to see this though.... :P

p/s: special dedication to the parents! hehe...we know you are trying to get into our lives and involved with our friends. thank you for the effort! we really appreciate that, and in a way, i hope my mom can be like that too...hehe...

Fruits Party

It was the durians and rambutan and other-fruits season again, and as usual, we had our fruits party again! (actually it was like one year ago back since we last had one.)

the difference was, this year more people joined us! and more pics also. cause we got people to open the durians already, and i was in charge of taking pictures. :)

this time quite a lot of varieties.

i guess a lot of people are drooling? especially those are at overseas countries ( you know who i mean. :P)

a-ha! this is the mess that we made. more people, more rubbish. hmm...it sounds actually quite true!

again, a group picture....erm, something like that. haha....

people, can we make it like an annual thing? even after we grad? :)

Charter.Net

Ever since our university’s intranet sharing has been banned, most of the students have lost their sources of movies and series, including me myself. Some of them opted for buying DVDs from the store, and some of them opted for online streaming media. However, all these were not very good options considering the location of our university and also the internet speed in the university.

While searching for better alternatives, especially during exam time that we all need some entertainment to release stress, I have come across this website called Charter.Net. According to the website, if you have Charter Digital, you have On Demand, and it’s free to access. There are over 6000 movies and shows to watch anytime the customer wants. There’s no need to wait or schedules for the movies to be shown and most of the movies are updated. That means there’s no need to go to the cinema if you don’t have the time, you can just watch it at home. You can learn more at charter.net/ondemand.

Ondemand

Besides all these, those who are Facebook users, you can even get updates and fun extras on Charter’s Facebook page. It’s so cool right? I think I am going to recommend to my friends and family!

Lense to let go.

When I was about to buy my first DSLR, one of the photographers that I knew from the online community once warned me that, "If you are serious in photography, the current lenses you own now will not satisfy you for long. You will keep on changing, it's called the poison. :) ".

well, i guess he is right. I have been infected by the "poison". sad...

the lense I am going to let go. the Canon EF 75-300mm USM III. it's a cheap telephoto lense. :)

Below are some of the photos taken using the lense:

the quality honestly was moderate for me. :)

the reason of selling the lense? simply because i want to upgrade. hehe...if anyone interested can contact me, we can work out the price. :) the lens is especially good for those just started with photography and wish to practise on telephotography and also those who need to use the lens infrequently. :)

Theological Information

I am just thinking, even though we have been Christians for a very long time, but somehow we don’t really know our bible well. Maybe not all of us, but personally I do feel I don’t know enough about the bible. Sometimes, when I was discussing with my friends, I wasn’t really sure about the details of the bible stories that we discussed about. Some of the time, I might know the story, but I couldn’t explain the meaning or the implications behind the bible scripture not to mention the history or the background of the story. This could be a problem whenever we are trying to explain to someone who is not so familiar with the bible or Christianity.

And I do think this can be an issue as I walk down my Christian life as me myself could have problems understanding the bible as well. So whenever possible, I always try to equip myself with as much knowledge as possible. So as I was searching online, I came across this website that offered online bible study. This website actually provides me with the basic information that will help me to understand more about Christianity. They offers bible study course as well for those who are serious in studying the bible. I think I am going to try that!

An old temple at Kampar

I went to Kampar the other day, although was not my first time, still i discovered new things about the old town.

My friend, who is from Kuala Kangsar, brought us to visit this old temple. Even though I am Christian, but i was quite enthralled by the building.

The temple was quite old, and they have this special "decorations" and incense coils, remind me of the ancient chinese shows. hhaa...

the temple, at the entrance...it's the Kampar Ancient Temple ( written on top there)

the incense coils...

one of the "dui lians"(some words or poem) in front of the temple...

Kampar is a beaitful old town ya? haha....LOL.

iLASIK Video Contest

I wear spectacles since I started my high school. Before that, I always fancy those who wear glasses, they looked to cool and stylish. But then, after I was “blessed” with the spectacles, I start to think otherwise. Having an extra pair of eyes is definitely pain in the neck. First of all, you can’t do exciting sports; second, you can’t take a photo using a DSLR comfortably!

So, I always wanted to try LASIK surgery. But sadly, I don’t have enough money for it. Anyway, talking about money, I have a good news to share. It’s this iLASIK Video Contest that enable a person to win the prizes of:

$5,000 Grand Prize

First Prize (one in each video category):
HDTV package — a $2,500 value

Second Prize (one in each video category):
The Flip UltraHD™ camcorder — a $199.99 value

So what is this all about? This is actually a “You Gotta See This” Video Contest, inviting entrants to make a video showing the impact of improved vision. So far, people have submitted original music videos, videos on boxing and swimming, and videos that just show how their daily lives would improve. This contest is launched by Abbott Medical Optics Inc. (AMO), a global leader in laser vision correction. They wish to know how better vision could improve — or has improved — people’s lives.

In order to join the contest, you can make and submit your videos at www.GottaSeeThisNow.com. The videos need to be of one of the following categories:

• “My contacts are getting in the way of my good time”
• “My favorite sport or activity would be so much cooler with better vision”

• “You should see life after the iLASIK® Procedure”

After submitting, you can ask your friends to vote on it, which will help you to win the prize! So, let’s start making a video and submitting it! All the best!
